Skyler Purvis
STAGE MANAGER & DRAMATURG
A New York-based artist proud of her Midwestern roots, Skyler is a multi-hyphenate theatremaker who currently bounces between stage management and dramaturgy. She strives to make spaces welcoming, joyful, and exploratory while appreciating the need for timeliness. They also bring a historian’s analytical eye to their work, particularly through their passion for discovering how history shaped the world and our art today. They hope to make theatre that is exciting and insightful on the human condition.
As a stage manager, she has worked on: Twelfth Night (Kane Repertory Theater), Into the Woods (Marquee Youth Stage), A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Indecent, Aulis (Fordham Theatre Mainstage), Kodachrome, Night and Daedalus, A Number, The Science Project (Fordham Theatre Studio).
As a dramaturg, she has worked on: And This Is Where We, Indecent, Savonarola: A Pseudohistory in Puppets (Fordham Theatre).
