Vernie Ritkes

Vernie Ritkes (she/her) has been enamored with theatre from a young age. Despite grappling with dyslexia and encountering reading difficulties in her formative years, her introduction to the performing arts proved to be transformative as it helped her to read better and comprehend more effectively.This was a pivotal moment in her academic and artistic life from which her love of theatre was born.
Hailing from South Florida, Vernie was awarded a full Musical Theatre scholarship to attend American Heritage School where she honed her skills in acting, singing, and dancing. Vernie also harbors a keen interest in directing, showcasing her abilities in collaboration, creativity, and leadership. Excited to graduate soon with a BA in Performance Theatre from Fordham University, Vernie is eager to jump into the professional theatre scene in New York City and make her mark.
