Yvanna Tassy

ACTOR

Yvanna Tassy is an actress raised in Asunción, Paraguay and currently based in New York City. Yvanna discovered her love for performing at her family dinner table—whether it was by putting oranges in her mouth and smiling or by captivating her loved ones with vivid stories, she instinctively understood the power of storytelling from an early age.

Yvanna was raised by a family of farmers, guided by four generations. In a break from tradition, she searched for an arts community in her hometown. She began ballet classes at the age of three, trained competitively in jazz, salsa, merengue, and contemporary dance styles, sang in her school choir, and participated in acting workshops with guest artists visiting from the United States, Argentina, Brazil, and beyond. However, Yvanna wished to represent her Paraguayan community and culture, which has yet to be depicted on an international stage or screen. This desire—as well as an interest in a formal theatre education—led her to pursue comprehensive training in the United States.

Yvanna is currently studying performance in the Fordham Theatre Program at Lincoln Center. She is also an alumni of the Classical Acting program at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. She has worked as a teaching artist at The 52nd Street Project, where she led devised theatre workshops, taught acting lessons to students in Hell’s Kitchen, and participated in the One-On-One performance retreat program.

Yvanna is currently the line producing intern at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, where she has executed complex multi-performance programming ranging from theatre, dance, comedy shows, and performing arts education, and has learned the line producing timeline and process.

Yvanna dreams of becoming a multinational actress and producer, representing her culture on stage and screen, and inspiring the next generation of dreamers like herself.
